Eagle Creek Coho Fishing

We finally got to make a trip up and fish Eagle Creek and the Clackamas for up river Coho Salmon! It was a fun day fishing new water and we even managed to hook a few. We had a great fisherman with us to show us where to go, thanks again Alann (Osmosis), and covered lots of water. There were a lot of coho in the creek but not many willing to bite. Out of the five fish we netted one came on black yarn, one on a spoon, one on roe and two on purple Hybrid UV Micro Jig. Its amazing how much coho like that little jig. A few weeks back the guy we fished with and three buddies landed ten coho in the same area we were fishing with our new rattling Vibra Jigs. Coho can be tricky fish to get to bite and its always good to bring lots of bait, spinners as well as jigs so you have all your bases covered. We had a great time out there and cant wait to try again next fall.
