This was our first time out for summer steelhead this year and it was over due. We had an amazing day on the water, one of those days you will remember for a long time! We started the day off fishing for Steelhead on the Willamette River near Dexter dam and had some action with another species. Next it was on to the McKenzie River to try for some more steelhead, this was the first time we have fished the McKenzie together and was fun learning a new river. The light trout rods and light line got a lot of action today and make for some exciting and entertaining fish fights!
