We had a hard but rewarding few days fishing for steelhead on the trinity river in late November! The first day we didn't hook a steelhead but the next day ended up getting two, one I landed on a plug and the biggest one daniel got on a micro jig under a float. Unfortunately I pushed the play button twice and didn't record any of the fight and its to bad because it was a great fight! It was a nice 30in buck! The third day we finally figured out what kind of water the fish liked to hold in and had a great day of fishing! We hooked seven steelhead and landed four, lucky for us the ones we lost were on the smaller side. A 30in 9.7oz hen and a 31in 9.11oz hen were the two big fish of the day along with two normal trinity size steelhead in the 26 and 27in class weighing six and seven pounds all fell to perfectly presented micro jigs. We might have got a bobber down as well, but you will have to watch the whole video to find out. Its always fun learning a new river and it really got us pumped up for winter steelhead. I heard a few reports from the time we were there and not many people were hooking fish on any of the river so I feel pretty good about the trip, somewhat slow but we did really well for the conditions and lack of fish.
