Klamath Lake Trout Quick Clip
Quick Clip Video fishing for Redband Rainbow Trout on the Beautiful Klamath Lake in Southern Oregon!
"-Klamath Lake Redband Trout-"
(April 6th 2009)
I was invited to go fish with my uncle and grandpa at Klamath Lake yesterday and jumped at the opportunity. I have heard stories about big fish but Daniel and I have not had a chance to try it out. I had talked to a few people who said that the big rainbows search the banks for minnows to eat so I knew exactly what I was going to use!! We had a fun day of fishing and even caught one!! I landed the nice, fat 23 inch redband trout above after about three hours of fishing!! I would guess it was four pounds but fought like a much larger fish! My uncle did a good job filming for his first time using the camera ever. The water looked like a blown out river and was chocolate color with only a foot at most of visibility. We saw a few fish jumping and splashing and it got me excited because they were the size of respectable sized steelhead! No one else that we talked to had caught any fish so I was happy we at least got one.
